Considering the oncogenic impact of PTEN loss on NSCLC tumorgenicity and its possible downregulation by transcriptional and post-transcriptional mechanisms, we examined its promoter region using the Cistrome Data Browser and found a clear co-localization of TEAD4, YY1 and MYC onto its promoter in the A549 NSCLC cell line (Fig. 1A). This evidence concerns the gene PTEN and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
