High CD163 expression has been associated with poor prognosis in classical Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, since its expression was analogous to vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression and tumor microvascular density, while high CD163 expression was associated with decreased event-free survival and overall survival of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma patients [69]. The gene discussed is CD163; the disease is Hodgkins lymphoma.
