A study showed that elevated levels of lncRNA MEG3 correlate with the increased expression of proteins related to ER stress pathways such as GRP78, PERK, IRE1α, and ATF6, and resulted in enhanced cytosolic to nuclear translocation of NF-κB in breast cancer cells and induced apoptosis in various cancer cells [36–38]. This evidence concerns the gene MEG3 and breast carcinoma.
