Previously it was shown that ADMA increased ROS production and activation of transcription factor NF-κB in human cultured endothelial cell line (ECV 304) leading to increased adhesiveness of human leukemia monocytic cell line THP-1 (Böger et al., 2000), and that treatment with ADMA stimulated adhesion and migration of monocyte-derived dendritic cells (DC) via human dermal microvascular endothelial cell (HMVEC) monolayer (Weis et al., 2002). This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and leukemia.
