These results are in accordance with findings from cancer cell cytoplasm: cytoplasmic expression of miR-20a-5p in cancer cells was associated with tumor grade, and tumors with high compared to low cytoplasmic miR-20a-5p showed a trend towards higher odds of a basal-like subtype and high Ki67, potentially indicating a more aggressive tumor type. The gene discussed is MKI67; the disease is neoplasm.
