We found increased levels of IL-6, IL-8, CD40, PDL-1, FGF-23, IL-15-RA, TGF-a, and CCL25 that persist at two months after LTA in IKF patients, consistent with current concepts of inflammation as a crucial pathophysiological mechanism in the development of chronic kidney disease (10).
