The objective was to explore the correlations between the histopathological features of DCIS (tumor location, DCIS grade, DCIS type, and presence or absence of comedo necrosis) and various biomarkers like estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR), human epidermal growth factor receptor (HER2/neu), androgen receptor (AR), and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), in addition to the Ki-67 labeling index. Here, ERBB2 is linked to ductal breast carcinoma in situ.
