VEGFR2 is a receptor protein that can bind to VEGF and promote angiogenesis and repair,[47] the expression of VEGFR2 in vascular endothelial cells and ventricular tissue is affected by HF.[48] Interestingly, previous studies have shown that GXST significantly upregulates VEGFA.[49] Hence, these findings suggest that GXST may enhance angiogenesis and vascular repair through the upregulation of both VEGFR2 and VEGFA. This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and hydrops fetalis.
