We firstly transfected Mic60‐targeting small interfering RNAs (si‐Mic60) to knockdown the endogenous Mic60 levels in HeLa cells prior to bacterial infection, before which the interfering effect was confirmed by western blot and immunofluorescence experiments using non‐targeting siRNAs as the control (si‐Ctrl) (Figure 5a,b). Here, IMMT is linked to bacterial infectious disease.
