AKT1 and cancer: To address this, we analyzed downstream targets of MFN2 using Western blot analysis, revealing that the combination of circTAF4B shRNA and MFN2 siRNA distinctly suppressed phosphorylated AKT, suggesting that circTAF4B shRNA might exert anti-cancer effects through MFN2-mediated AKT signaling (Figures 5I, J).
