A recent U.S. clinical study testing human imaging results of a humanized PSMA minibody (IAB2M) conjugated to IRDye800CW-NHS ester fluorescent dye was able to detect PSMA-positive primary tumors, tumor-infiltrating lymph nodes (64% sensitivity and specificity), and metastatic lesions (100% sensitivity and 65% specificity) by intraoperative fluorescent imaging in 23 patients, improving the thoroughness of tumor resection (66).
