H2AX and cervical carcinoma: Normal tissue cells, human SiHa cervical carcinoma cells, and more radiosensitive SCCVII tumor cells tend to have a higher number of γ‐H2AX foci shortly after 10–20 Gy irradiation and show a slower decline in γ‐H2AX foci over time, indicating impairment of DNA repair mechanisms.42
