MACROH2A1 and astrocytoma (excluding glioblastoma): Finally, mH2A and its isoforms are tumor suppressors- the loss of mH2A correlates in more aggressive cancer phenotypes [71–74] and low expression of macroH2A1.1 is associated with poor prognosis in multiple cancers (colorectal, lung, astrocytoma, and breast cancers), [72,75–77].
