FSCN1 and cancer: miR-429 restrains breast cancer cell growth and invasion by inactivating the Wnt/β-catenin cascade.18 miR-429 hampers thyroid cancer cell growth and facilitates cell apoptosis via reduction of ZEB1 abundance.19 In GC, miR-429 can suppress cancer cell proliferation by targeting FSCN1.20 Moreover, Zhu et al. found that miR-429 could trigger GC cell apoptosis by modulating Bcl-2.21 Our rescue assays reveal that circ_0008035 silencing suppresses GC cell malignant behaviors by increasing available miR-429 content.
