A higher POLR2J4 level was closely associated with the presence of cirrhosis (P = .029), higher AFP (P < .001), advanced Edmondson grade (P = .034), TNM stage (P = .031), and the presence of vascular invasion (P = .022) in HBV–HCC patients (Table 1).
