ITGA6 and neoplasm: The other study showed that exosomes from hUMSCs delivered high levels of miR-3940-5p into CRC cells, where it directly suppressed the expression of integrin alpha6 (ITGA6), thus inhibiting epithelial–mesenchymal transition and invasion of CRC cells in vitro and suppressing the cancer progression and metastasis in vivo.35 In mechanism, ITGA6 participates in cancer growth and metastasis by modulating the tumor microenvironment and protecting tumor cells.35
