PECAM1 and Kaposi's sarcoma: CD34 staining was diffusely positive, with a +3 intensity, favoring KS as the underlying etiology. Although further investigations, including specific immunohistochemical markers such as latency-associated nuclear antigen (LANA-1), platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule (PECAM-1), D2-40, vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-3 (VEGFR-3), and B-cell lymphoma-2 (BCL-2), were considered, they were not performed due to resource limitations.
