Dimethyl fumarate, an NRF2 activator, displays neuroprotective effects through NRF2/BCL2 interacting protein 3 (BNIP3)/PTEN induced kinase 1 (PINK1) axis in the 1-methyl-4-phenyl pyridinium (MPP+)-induced PD mouse model (Pinjala et al., 2024).
