So far, there have been several genes linked with hereditary prostate cancer, which include mismatch repair genes such as post‐meiotic segregation increased 2 (PMS2), MutS homolog 2 (MSH2) and MutL protein homolog 1 (MLH1), as well as recombination genes such as partner and localiser of BRCA2 (PALB2), Ataxia‐telangiectasia mutated (ATM) and Breast Cancer genes 1 and 2 (BRCA1/2) [53]. Here, MSH2 is linked to breast carcinoma.
