There are various types of autoimmune encephalitis; in young adults, particularly women, anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor antibody (anti-NMDAR Ab) encephalitis is common, while in late adulthood, anti–leucine-rich glioma-inactivated 1 (anti-LGI1) encephalitis is the most prevalent [4]. This evidence concerns the gene LGI1 and autoimmune encephalitis.
