Table 2 shows how the overweight-obesity condition of women is able to accentuate the effects of the infection on the reduction in fertility; in particular, as Figure 1 shows, the ratio of the geometric means of AMH post/pre-COVID-19 was equal to 0.80 (i.e., −20%) among women with BMI ≤ 25 and 0.61 (i.e., −39%) among those with BMI > 25. Here, AMH is linked to obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
