In this study, IGSM alleviated ANIT-induced cholestasis and liver injury in rats by decreasing the serum levels of AST, ALT, TBA, and AKP; decreasing the MDA level and increasing the SOD, CAT, and GSH-Px activities in the liver tissues; and increasing the mRNA levels of Fxr, Bsep, Mrp2, and Ntcp. This evidence concerns the gene SLC10A1 and cholestasis.
