Patients with obesity/overweight had a higher WBC count (p = 0.013), MPO (p = 0.006), and CRP (p = 0.002) values but only a trend towards decreased adiponectin levels (p = 0.086) and no significant difference between other measured inflammatory/oxidative stress markers in comparison to the control group.
