In the present study, we demonstrate that SIRT5 knockdown in mice exacerbates high-fat diet-induced obesity and lipid metabolic disorders; similarly, the knockdown of SIRT5 in β3-adrenergic receptor (β3-ar) agonist-activated white-fat-browning mice inhibits inguinal white adipose tissue beige transformation and adaptive thermogenesis, exacerbating the succinylation modification of proteins (there was no effect on acetylation). The gene discussed is SIRT5; the disease is Disorder of lipid metabolism.
