In the present study, we showed that in SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cells, amitriptyline, a TCA drug prescribed for depressive syndromes and pain, modulates autophagy in a time and dose-dependent manner with the upregulation of the autophagosome-associated form of LC3, LC3II, and a delayed accumulation of the autophagy receptor/substrate p62. Here, MAP1LC3A is linked to neuroblastoma.
