Included in this study were crucial biomarkers of COVID-19, including hematological parameters (white blood cells (WBC), neutrophils (NEU), lymphocytes (LYM), neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelets (PLT)), inflammation parameters (C-reactive protein (CRP), and procalcitonin (PCT)), coagulation parameters (D-dimer, international normalized ratio (INR), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), and fibrinogen), and end-organ injury biomarkers, namely renal (creatinine) and hepatic (alanine transaminase (ALT), and aspartate transferase (AST)). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and COVID-19.
