IL6 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis: Lee and colleagues demonstrated that EZH2 inhibition reduces liver inflammation and fibrosis in preclinical models of advanced non-alcoholic steatohepatitis [9], resulting in decreased expression of IL-6 (Interleukin-6), IL-1β, Interferon-γ (INF-γ), transforming growth factor β (TGF- β), and connective tissue growth factor (CTGF).
