The following BMI-specific associations with preeclampsia were found: rs805303 of BAG6 (BCL-2-associated athanogene6 [48]; protective allele: A) and rs167479 of RGL3 (activated Ras-binding protein [49]; risk allele: G), associated with preeclampsia in women with a BMI ≥ 25 and not associated with the disorder in the BMI < 25 group [50]. This evidence concerns the gene RGL3 and preeclampsia.
