Reports indicate that there is an increase in various biologically active molecules in the AH of uveitis patients, as detected by sophisticated bead immunoassays [2–8], such as monocyte interferon-γ (IFN-γ), chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1), interleukin-6 (IL-6) and interleukin-8 (IL-8) were increased in idiopathic uveitis AH; IFN-γ was detected elevating in anterior uveitis and panuveitis group; active intermediate uveitis is characterized by elevated levels of IL-6, IL-8, activator of normal T cell secretion (RANTES), and MCP-1. This evidence concerns the gene IFNG and panuveitis.
