IL4 and blepharitis: This is a monoclonal antibody with FDA approval that targets the IL-4 and IL-13 receptors to treat people with moderate-to-severe AD [119,120]. Rapid improvements in disease severity and extension were observed in two randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trials. It is useful in combination with topical corticosteroids (TCSs) to improve AD symptoms [121]. Ocular adverse reactions such as blepharitis, noninfectious conjunctivitis, and dry eyes are frequently reported [122]. Dupilumab is considered safe and doesn't need to be monitored in a lab.
