The phase 1 COBALT-RCC study evaluated an allogeneic CRISPER-Cas9 engineered anti-CD70 CART-T therapy (CTX130) in patients with relapsed/refractory metastatic ccRCC.66 Treatment with CTX130 provided a disease control rate of 81% (13 out of 16 patients), including 12 patients with SD and 1 patient who achieved and remained in CR at 36 months (including at time of study publication).67 This case represents the first durable complete response in a patient with RCC to CAR-T therapy. The gene discussed is CD70; the disease is nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma.
