These results are consistent with earlier reports showing that PDCD10 silencing destabilizes the GCKIII kinases in SaOS2 cells (human osteoblasts) leading to Golgi disassembly, HeLa cells attenuating apoptosis, human umbilical vein endothelial cells diminishing adhesion capacity, and PC-3 cells (human prostate cancer cells) hindering proliferation (46, 47, 48, 49, 50). This evidence concerns the gene PDCD10 and prostate carcinoma.
