c-Myc is a transcriptionfactor involved in various cellular processes, including cell growth, proliferation, metabolism, differentiation, stress responses, apoptosis, and drug resistance.70 Dysregulation ofc-Myc is implicated in the development of multiple types of cancer, including breast cancer.70 c-Myc is a targetgene of ERα.71 Consistent with this, our GSEA analysis showed that the proteins involved in c-Myc wereenriched among the E2-regulated proteins (Table 2). This evidence concerns the gene ESR1 and breast carcinoma.
