Different inflammatory markers have been used as biomarkers of cardiovascular diseases and some important of those are the following: interleukin-6 (IL-6), monocyte colony-stimulating factor (MCSF), IL-1 isoform, fibrinogen, C-reactive protein (CRP), highly sensitive CRP, tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), and lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 [1,8]. Here, TNF is linked to cardiovascular disorder.
