CDK5 is predominantly expressed in post-mitotic neurons(Wang et al. 2006) and plays an important role in the pathological process of neurological diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease (AD), Parkinson’s disease (PD), cerebral ischemic injury, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and Huntington’s disease(Ao et al. 2022; Chen et al. 2021). Here, CDK5 is linked to Alzheimer disease.
