S100B and melanoma: Those with both preoperative plasma BRAF V600E mutation and higher level of S100B experienced higher probability of melanoma recurrence (57.1% vs. 12.5%, resp., p = 0.025), shorter DFI (47.7 months vs. median not reached, p = 0.05), but not OS (median not reached in both groups, p = 0.131) compared to those with BRAF WT and lower S100B concentration (Table 2).
