TGFB1 and glaucoma: Despite the fact that the TGF‐β isoforms (TGF‐β‐1, ‐2, and ‐3) have approximately 70–80% homologous amino acid compositions [27] and the fact that they interact with the same receptors and signaling pathways, these isoforms exert diverse biological effects on physiological and pathological processes of wound healing [28, 29, 30, 31] as well as the pathogenesis of glaucoma [32, 33, 34, 35].
