Multiple studies have demonstrated that changes in DNA methylation are associated with asthma development [1–7] and include genes such as RUNX3 [8], IL13 [8], NOS2 [9], ARG1 [10], and ALOX12 [11] that highlight the importance of these genes and the role of DNA methylation changes in asthma pathogenesis. This evidence concerns the gene ALOX12 and asthma.
