GLP1R and cardiovascular disorder: When administering hypoglycemic drug therapy, it is important to (i) reduce the risk of adverse events such as hypoglycemia, (ii) select drugs and adjust doses based on the evaluation of renal function, (iii) consider the risks and benefits of sodium glucose cotransporter‐2 (SGLT2) inhibitors and glucagon‐like peptide‐1 (GLP‐1) receptor agonists for cardiovascular disease, and (iv) simplify the treatment in patients with poor adherence.
