The demonstration that potassium conductances (IA and IK currents) do not drive the hyperexcitability of GnRH neurons in temporal lobe epilepsy is indicated, but there are some concerns that Figure 2 shows a significant difference in the peak IA current density, with larger densities in GnRH neurons from male IHKA mice. The gene discussed is GNRH1; the disease is temporal lobe epilepsy.
