Interestingly, in contradiction to its role as a tumor suppressor, immunomodulatory imide drugs (IMiDs), which induce Ikaros degradation resulting in reduced proliferation and survival of cancer cells, are frequently used in combination therapies for patients with multiple myeloma, lymphoma, and certain forms of myelodysplastic syndrome (57, 59).
