Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) is generally defined as a type of breast cancer in which estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR) and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) are all expressed negatively, accounting for about 12%–17% of all breast cancers (Foulkes et al., 2010). This evidence concerns the gene PGR and triple-negative breast carcinoma.
