When varying case definition, we found that stricter case inclusion criteria, namely: 1) CA (ICD-9/10 of amyloidosis with evidence of cardiac involvement [defined as LVH, BNP >332, or troponin >0.04]); and 2) clinic cases, resulted in increased AUC when tested on the matched held-out test set (AUC increasing from 0.705 to 0.880 with increased stringency). This evidence concerns the gene NPPB and amyloidosis.
