In CKD, studies have shown that neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), CRP, TNF-α, and IL-6 are positively correlated and change in the same direction, reflecting the degree of inflammation in the body and the renal function status during the disease process, and are associated with poor prognosis. Here, IL6 is linked to chronic kidney disease.
