The Sortilin Related Receptor (SORL1) also known as SorLA-1 has been suggested to be implicated in major depression, and its treatment as SorLA level increased significantly in a subgroup of patients treated with nortriptyline, but interestingly, and contrary to the present results, not with escitalopram (Buttenschøn et al., 2018). This evidence concerns the gene SORL1 and major depressive disorder.
