EGFR and neoplasm: Overall, EGFR mutations were more frequent in women than men (69.36% vs. 32.52%, P< 0.001), more frequent in never smokers than former/current smokers (61.26% vs. 28.70%, P< 0.001), more frequent in never drinkers than drinkers (50.40% vs. 29.47%, P< 0.001), more frequent in patients with normal serum tumor markers than abnormal serum tumor makers (54.64% vs. 46.26%, P = 0.044), and more frequent in patients with early stage than advanced stage (58.16% vs. 41.44%, P< 0.001).
