These data suggest that both Retromer- and ESCPE-1-associated functions operate in fibroblast-like cells used for infection, consistent with their known localization at EEs and their distribution in recycling carrier-generating EE microdomains as components of large (SNX27:Retromer:ESCPE-1) or smaller (SNX-BAR or SNX27:Retromer) complexes (Lauffer et al., 2010; Cullen and Steinberg, 2018).
