A retrospective cohort study showed that Apo-A levels of pregnant woman with preeclampsia (1.53 ± 0.35) was lower when compared with those with chronic hypertension (P = 0.004) at 4-16 weeks of pregnancy, the situation was similar at 28-42 weeks(preeclampsia:1.94 ± 0.34 vs gestational hypertension: 2.00 ± 0.34, P = 0.002) (26). Here, APOA1 is linked to preeclampsia.
