Persistent delirium was associated with higher GFAP [normalized coefficient per transformed standard deviation (SD), β = 0.85; 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.03–1.68] and NfL (β = 1.1; 95% CI: 0.51–1.6), as well as lower CSF Aβ40 (though not Aβ42) concentrations (β = −0.59; 95% CI: −1.1 to −0.10) (Table 2; Fig. 3).
