Targeting both the MEK-ERK pathway and CDK4/6 with the MEK inhibitor selumetinib combined with the CDK4/6 inhibitor palbociclib was shown to have a synergistic antitumoral effect in a lung cancer xenograft model with concomitant RAS and CDKN2A alterations (Zhou et al. 2017).
